We are Christians and my wife and I absolutely love sex! (I have to admit, me quite a bit more than her LOL) Obviously, only between her and I and no one else in any other way ever! i use to listen to alot of your guys podcast back 3 years ago. truthfully at that point i had listening to all of them since episode one. i dont anymore because of learning about my own childhood sex trauma. how porn has helped me survive when i was suicidal. to be clear porn is evil and vile but the shame and guilt conveyed at times is utterly useless in helping someone find healing. resisting the sin isnt helpful if its more of a true addiction, not just lustful habit. its just that messages like "dont watch porn and its never good ever" and " read you bible everyday and God will fix it" dont actually help people like me free from it. the plea to be more spiritual doesnt elevate an addiction. i have countless friends in the same shoes too. church going, would die for God today type believers truly drowning in guilt and shame of addiction. Praying away the addiction doesnt bring last freedom to true addicts. a book id recommend is called out of the shadows by dr patrick carnes and a book from dr mark Laser healing wounds of sexual trauma. i think that it could help you guys not use spiritual rhetoric that actually just makes sincere people feel more and more shameful. its like someone telling you how to fix a car but your working on two different types of cars, maybe even generations of the same brand. with all that said God bless you guys for your ministry and speaking truth from Gods word with a Godly perspective on marriage. Yeah but your comments mean the spouse has to actually believe that what the bible is actually saying after being interpreted by man in a modern thinking. Spouse doesn't think God thinks sex is a big deal and thus thinks sex is no big deal and only used for having babies thus leading to a horrible marriage experience..... Spouse thinks that the media has manipulated the bible's true meaning which is to just love, have babies, do everything for others at the expense of themselves and sex is just a physical act and means nothing and not needed. Thus the reason most guys turn to outside poisons....many men just gave up. Somebody needs to teach women why sex is important and not just that its sex.

This is very well presented. I want to share that I have practiced it, when I found that my spouse was not getting full satisfaction with intercourse. First arousing her with oral sex, & when she is fully aroused to have intercourse. Just want to make sure I understand. Sex toys are off limits unless it is going to help get the woman off? Then it is acceptable. God made it that it is harder for a woman to climax. Why can’t men have some kind of external aid seems a bit misandry. No disrespect meant by my comments. A vibrator is for masterbation regardless of using it with your spouse or not. If men can’t masterbate then woman should not be able too. There were no vibrators back in the days of Adam and Eve. There,are other ways to get a woman off then having to resort to a vibrator.

My wife won't talk to me and doesn't really listen to me either. Whenever I try to communicate with her about our lousy sex life or just about anything else, she either sticks her face in her phone to ignore me or else gives me an excuse about how she has too much anxiety to deal with this right now. She has no consideration for my perspective or my feelings at all. I have been as patient and loving as I can be, but my patience is really running out. I cannot spend the next 40 years like this. I always wondered how and why seemingly normal people could be talked into these cults. I can't imagine being uncoupled from reality enough to be fooled. Sad really.

I wanted to chime in to your comment at the beginning about why/how people could get drawn into polygamist cults. I just left the Brighamite LDS cult over a year ago. Born and raised, 7th generation member. The reason, at least for those called "Mormon", is because they believe it was "restored" by Joseph Smith and he was a prophet of God. HOWEVER, and the reason I left the church/cult, and it is a cult, is that I learned the truth about what Joseph ACTUALLY taught, preached, wrote about, and lived in regards to marriage. He taught that marriage was between one man and one woman only. Polygamy was introduced by Brigham Young, in fact he was secretly practicing it while Joseph was still alive, having been introduced to it likely by a group in Saco, Maine called the Cochronites (probably spelling that wrong). I have come to believe Brigham Young was an impostor and an usurper and that he was NOT the rightful successor after Joseph, Hyrum, and Samuel were all murdered-likely by a conspiracy of men like Brigham Young who were feeling their time of being found out was coming. Joseph was excommunicating those who he learned were involved in the practice. He called it an abomination, a gross crime, adultery, and sin. The truth of what he taught is coming out and many people in the church are waking up to it, thanks to the internet. The church has to continue to sell Joseph as the originator because if they admit it was Brigham, teaching 180 degrees the opposite, it shows that they cannot claim a line of authority, as they try to, that goes back to Joseph. Their line of "authority" goes back to Brigham and the church he created. It does not go back to Joseph. Anyway, so this only explains why those in the LDS churches, all branches/fruit of Brigham Young, often get sucked into joining polygamist cults.... I looked into that at one point, just briefly, because I have a testimony of Joseph Smith and what he was doing, and believed the lie that he "restored" it as a true principle, because that is what I had been taught. Sickening to me now, and I am happy to have repented of believing that false teaching/belief of my fathers! BTW, all the gross things the "Mormons" are known for do go back to Brigham. If you haven't read the Book of Mormon, you should! It is another testimony of Christ and is a companion to the Bible, and is for all people, just like the Bible is. BUT, don't join the LDS church... unless God leads you to do so... just because it is a true record and scripture doesn't mean the church that claims to follow it is true. And there are over 100 churches that do claim to believe in the BofM, not just the LDS Utah church. Anyway, it leads people to Christ and does not contradict the Bible in the least.

Oh to be young again! You two are to be commended for putting your faith and how it affects your marriage and blessing many of us with your forthrightness.....however, neither of you are over 40, I bet, let alone 50. I am 67 and have been married to my wife (also a Christian woman) for 38 years. We are in a sexless marriage....have been for years. She has lost all interest and our discussions have always led to tears and an argument causing me to simply shut my mouth and not say anything. I crave the days when we were your age when sex was wonderful, spontaneous and massively intimate. Replacing that with nothing but a "room mate relationship" is crushing. Now, I pray A LOT, fail (with porn and masturbation) A LOT, try to remind myself the Lord is always in charge and does have a plan for my wife and I and try to accept our circumstances. I completely agree about the wedding ring. I am wondering about the example that you gave. Was the man not wearing it to cause a problem or was he not wearing it as a result of other problems in the marriage. Of course he is equally responsible for the marriage, I’m just saying it could be a result of other issues that needed to be dealt with.

I’m single in private as well as public. I was married for two years. 5/17 to 5/19. Married at age 52. Divorced at age 54. Married a covert passive aggressive narcissist. I knew nothing about narcissism until my marriage had exploded in my face. I don’t see anything changing either. But I have not given up hope that I might someday finally find a real wife. I wore my ring until the judge declared me divorced. When I was working I took the ring off of my finger. But it was visible on a carabiner with my car keys attached to my belt loop. I took my marriage very seriously all of the time.

I wear my ring and if anyone asks me I tell them that I'm married. But I feel like I do seem single in public. Honestly, I'm not happy/satisfied with my marriage. So I'm not open and bragging about my marriage.

I don't understand why christians have liquor in their homes! Kids will experience if that's what they want to do, but parents shouldn't have it in the home.
